Lost Files: England
A few months ago I went to England for a week with my boyfriend. He had to go for work but I took the opportunity to play! In all we went to Manchester, Liverpool, London & Chester. It was indeed a busy week. I had been to London once years ago but this was my first time adventuring in Europe as an adult. This trip sparked my ambition to go back again as soon as possible! Touring the countryside from a natives prospective is always eye opening.
CHESTER
Chester was by far my favorite town I visited! It felt like I stepped back in time. It was founded in the first century as a Roman fortress and you could definitely tell. It’s completely surrounded by tall stone walls. The shopping district called the Rows gives major medieval vibes. Hotel Indigo is also now my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed in, ever. It’s not far from Liverpool & is a known weekend vacation destination for those in the surrounding areas. Think Palm Springs but in the UK.
LONDON
In London I was by myself for the majority of the days, so I took the opportunity to do touristy things like go to Buckingham Palace & The British Museum guilt free. I also nipped by Carnaby Street & Harrod’s because well, that’s what one does while shopping your way through London. At night we explored Notting Hill and Covent Garden. We also got dinner at Dishroom, a super popular Indian restaurant with multiple locations. It’s a absolute must while there!
